Take A Cue from The Kids

Years ago, when I was a tiny size 0, I did a lot of my shopping in the kids' section of the Gap and Bloomingdale's. While I can no longer fit in the clothes, I still find myself in the kids' section looking for great accessories and cute stuff for my apartment. Luckily, I have small feet and I save a lot of money buying children's shoes and sneakers! Here are some great accessories and housewares taken from the children's section, but adorable enough for any age.

Gifts for Dad

Father's Day is just around the corner. There are a lot of great ways to show your appreciation for dad, so I decided to compile a list of great things I think any special father in your life would like. There is no shortage of novelty items or ties, but sometimes dad deserves something a little more memorable. Take a look!

Something for the Guys

Since I usually focus on cute stuff for women, I thought I would pick out some nice stuff that I think guys would like (specifically my hunny). There is no shortage of really nice casual pieces for men that are "on trend" but have clean, classic lines, so they will last beyond this summer.

Beach Basics

With Memorial Day weekend almost here, many of us are excited for the unofficial start of summer. This weekend the beaches are officially open for business. Just because you are headed to the beach doesn't mean that you have to look sloppy. Nothing is more classic or easier than a giant straw hat and a long cover up. Just add sunscreen, some snacks and your favorite book to the items below and  you will be set to turn heads wherever you lay your towel.

Eugenia Kim Bunny 4 Straw Hat

Genie by Euginia Kim Cecily 3 Straw Hat (Slightly more affordable)

Ruched Reversible Halter Suit (Two bathing suits in one!)

Echo Ikat Long Caftan

Mia Tonga Sandal

Under One Sky Over sized Straw Tote
(this is affordable and adorable and I like that there is some sort of closure)

Marc by Marc Jacobs Preppy Straw Tote
( A little too expensive to take to the beach, but I love the shape and that it is structured)

Warby Parker Mabel Greystone Sunglasses

Sonoma Life + Style Geo Beach Towel
(affordable and a great pop of color)

Craving Color : Yellow

The runways were filled with color for the Spring/Summer 2012 shows, so it is no surprise that color is popping up everywhere. I started to obsess with buying yellow pieces when the Jason Wu for Target line came out. I purchased two gorgeous yellow blouses and have been working them in to my rotation since. There are a lot of ways to add yellow to your wardrobe. I am not a fan of head to toe color on myself, like the Louis Vuitton look shown below, but it does work for a lot of women. I prefer accessories with punch or a top paired with neutrals. Here are a few cute ways to add yellow to your summer wardrobe.
